fees
clear success - clear conditions

Which expenses can you expect and what do these depend on?

The fees of Austrian lawyers are regulated in the Law on the Price List of Lawyers (RATG). Essentially the amount of fees depends on the so-called value in dispute, i.e. the amount being in dispute.

Is it possible to reach an agreement on the fees?

In deviation from the RATG payment of costs can be agreed upon by lawyer and client on the grounds of an all-inclusive fee or payment by the hour.

Are there any other costs or charges?

In addition to the above-mentioned fees, to which 20% V.A.T. has to be added, official fees often have to be covered for court activities, e.g. for filing an action, an appeal or an application etc. These fees are regulated in the Law on Court and Legal Administrative Fees (GGG 1984). As these amounts often have to be paid simultaneously with filing a pleading, the lawyer has to ask the client for an advance for this purpose.
